Regional Automobile Dealership
Challenge
A large, regional automobile dealership—with multiple locations
and services—was operating with an outdated phone system.
Each dealership location had multiple carriers, cluttered telecom
areas and older systems that provided unnecessary services
Solution
Eastcom visited all the dealership locations and surveyed each
location by line and circuit. Telecom billing for the entire organization
was collected, along with Customer Service Records (CSRs) from
carriers. Eastcom worked with the company’s internal IT
staff to implement new services, reorganize telecom areas and
disconnect unnecessary services.
Benefit
Eastcom recovered $22,000 in excess charges to our client from
carriers’ Customer Service Records. We also renegotiated
the carrier contracts and saved the client nearly $50,000 in back
charges for unused services. The total first year savings for
our client was approximately $195,000. In addition, we improved
overall efficiency and achieved additional savings for the client
by networking several locations for Voice and Data. Eastcom continues
to provide this client with consultation services on additional
business communications needs.
